Backstory

His Tribe was renowned for being skilled hunters and were sought after for their services by clients near and far. They were skilled in their trades in both hunting and crafting and the results were consistent and considerably premium. They used whatever payment they received to maintain their tools of the trade and for the overall prosperity of the Tribe to be able to offer goods and services for their crafts.

Verith, the Eldest of 9 brothers within the Tribe was out on an assignment with his partner, much to his dismay and well against his wishes as she was with child at the time. His child. But he vowed to take a rain of arrows if it meant protecting her while they were out on a hunt. And so far there had not been so much as a stray splinter to her fingertips to warrant asking that she stopped doing what she loved. Because in the heavily Matriarchal Keeper Culture, the word of the Huntresses were not to be under minded by their male counterparts. And so he had little say on the matter. But her Iron will was just one of the many traits he loved so much about her.

They were tasked with taking down not an animal or bestial quadruped, but a small group of Rogue Bandits who had been terrorizing the locals, and thought to be few in numbers.

They were ambushed, taken captive, and while Verith and his mate managed to fight Fang and Claw to escape, what little victory they could claim was short lived when they were able to assess the extent of the wounds sustained.

Verith had been slashed across the face, an uncalculated attempt at his eyesight in the scuffle, a broken jaw, and several shallow stab wounds when they put up a fight and responded in kind.

His mate on the other hand, only survived long enough to ensure his safety and bidding he promise to care for their child before sucumming to her injuries. Except neither survived.

Striken with unparalleled grief, Verith vowed to see that their Tribe be able to forgo the need to serve the public to prosper, and be able to live comfortably with little effort on their behalf. Abandoning the life of a Hunter for Hire, he took to the Shades to pursue the title of Underground Bounty Hunter, trading in the bow and arrow in favor of Gunblades and surgical precision firearms, The Bandit that took the life of his beloved at the top of his hit list.

When he made his intentions clear to the Tribe, and appealed to their Matriarch, C'thala allowed him to forgo his place within the Tribe, so as long as he did not lose sight of where he came from.

And when it came time for him to depart, a hand clasped his shoulder, the voice of his closest brother C'marah offering his aid in Verith's endeavor.

From then on, the Brothers ventured to Eorzea's seedy underground. There they took an eerie liking to their new lifestyle, eventually coming into contact with the Kettle where they were able to further develop newer and bigger firearms, gunpowder, and the seething vengeance against the Bandits that robbed them of the peace and serenity they once associated with their homeland.
